Addiction is a crazy process; you don’t want to stop when you can and you want to stop when you can’t…
If the statement above is you, you CANNOT whip the addiction you are battling on your own.
Addiction is whipped in conjunction with a higher power, and/or a network of friends and mentors who are successfully conquering the addiction you are dealing with, and/or psychotherapy, and/or 12 Steps and support groups…it took all the above for me.
Addiction is more than a habit. It is an insidious, cunning and baffling disease which are all traits of the devil.
(I write my blogs as the wind blows so I am assuming one of my blog followers needed to read this blog.)
If you are fighting an addiction the first step is to admit you are powerless over it and cannot whip it on your own. Then follow my suggestions in the paragraph above.
