Here are some quick tips about undoing habits:
- If you have more than one you’d like to quit, take them one at a time. Focus on the easiest one first.
- Replace the habit you are undoing with something that adds positive energy to your life—perhaps replacing internet surfing with a walk or feeling down about yourself with helping someone in need.
- Pray continuously for God to give you the strength to overcome the habit you are trying to undo.
- Don’t beat yourself up when you slip because you will most likely slip. Have a game plan for how you will mentally handle your slips.
- Rinse and repeat.
Living a good life is about developing the proper habits and keeping the bad ones in check.
