When a CEO says “work isn’t the most important thing in life,” your ears tend to perk up. That’s a pretty refreshing sentiment in today’s world of non-stop information and go-go-go lifestyles.
On the fourth episode of my new podcast, Higher Leading, I interview Doug Meyer who is the CEO of accounting firm, Brixey & Meyer. In our discussion, Doug describes the culture at B&M and explains how genuine and intentional effort was put into building it. He also shares how striving daily to exhibit his firm’s founding values from the very top, as well as being a vulnerable leader, has helped him create an elite organization with little client turnover.
You can hear the whole episode on Apple podcasts by clicking here. Be sure to keep your ears open for a phrase that self-described, “impatient Doug†whispers to himself multiple times a day, as he relies on his faith to get him through hard times and hard decisions. Like me, you’re going to find humor and wisdom in it.
