Random thoughts on movement and prayer…
My mind is always “on.” Â I cannot afford to sit around and do nothing because when I do, my mind often tries to take me to places that make me anxious.
For me, idle time is the devil’s time.
Even when I wake up in the middle of the night I am thinking. Â Sometimes the thoughts are good and sometimes they are not so good. Â My not-so-good thoughts are usually born out of some form of fear and end up causing anxiety. Â Instead of ruminating on the bad thoughts, I take action and begin praying. Prayer always works.
There is no better remedy to anxiety than purposeful action, and oftentimes there is no better purposeful action than prayer.
Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Â And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Â (NIV)
