Strategic Mentors

The "I" in illness is isolation and the crucial letters in wellness are "we"

A couple of years ago I read a  book by Henry Cloud, “The Power of the Other.”  Cloud has written a lot of great books but this one ranks up there (along with his books “Integrity” and “Boundaries”) as one of his best.

In “The Power of the Other,” Cloud does a great job of detailing how important it is to have strategic mentors (my term) in our lives.  Strategic mentors help us become better in the various roles we play in our life.

We all need strategic people in our lives.

What are your personal roles and responsibilities?

What are your professional roles and responsibilities?

What strategic partners do you have in order to help you improve in your roles?

Those who choose to “do it alone” are usually in for a bumpy ride.
