Live Today

When I am anxious it is because I am living in the future. When I am depressed it is because I am living in the past.

One of the greatest gifts recovery gave me was the ability to handle my anxiety and depression by learning how to live in the moment one day at a time.

Living in the past and/or the future does nothing but blur the moment.

The past is over.  All it should do for us is remind us where we’ve come from and how much we’ve grown.

The future hasn’t happened.  All it should do for us (if we have dreams and aspirations) is incentivize us to make the most of today.

I always write from experience.
