Storms and What They Make You

What is a storm? Is it a test, a challenge, an obstacle? You never really understand a storm until you are in one, but the other side of the storm is another thing altogether. The storm is going to cost you something; there is no getting around it. Whether it gives you something back is entirely up to you.

Reflection

I can relate to the opening quote.

The past few weeks of my life have been stormy from a health perspective.

The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel–it will just take some time, perseverance, and patience to get there.

The “give back” from this storm (see opening quote) is that it has caused me to lean on all the things I have to be grateful.

Anxiety and gratitude cannot co-exist.

On a more serious note…

Recently, I’ve been praying for healing for a young lady, Eve, who was diagnosed with the same condition as our friend Bob–Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Bob is living proof of what faith and perseverance can do for a person as, in three months, he will be passing the four-year point of being diagnosed.

Please keep Eve and her family in your prayers. If you feel compelled to help them, here is a link: https://wellworn.clothing/give/ where you can purchase a T-shirt from her family’s business to show them some support as they navigate this storm.

Jeremiah 33:6, “Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.”
