Bold Freedom

Freedom lies in being bold.

— Robert Frost —

This Wednesday is Ash Wednesday which is the beginning of the Christian Lenten season.

Although I’m not into religious rituals, for the past several years I’ve utilized the season of Lent to make adjustments in my life in order to become a better person.

Most of these adjustments require a bit of courage in order to overcome the fear of leaving my comfort zone and walking into an unknown space. I don’t know about you, but I’ve experienced the freedom Frost writes about in his opening quote several times throughout my life when I am willing to let go of the known and prayerfully/boldly walk into the unknown.

What’s faith worth if we never attempt to walk outside our comfort zone?

As was the case last year, my EagleLaunch Lenten posts will be focused on the devil’s favorite 4 letter word–FEAR…False Expectations Appearing Real.

Our desire to step outside of our comfort zone in bold-faith is often countered by the devil and his use of fear.

Courage and boldness is simply fear which has been prayed for.

If you know someone who may benefit from a 47 day journey of facing their fears head-on, and conquering them with bold-faith, please send them my blog beginning this Wednesday.

Joshua 1:9, Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Heavenly Father, Give me the courage to be bold in living my life. Help me overcome the ‘crap’ the devil puts in my head and replace it with the boldness you’ve already instilled inside of me. It’s in Your Son’s name I pray. Amen.
