Reflection
About twenty-five years ago, I envisioned a church service centered on addiction recovery—born out of my own brokenness.
After experiencing the transforming and healing power of Jesus, I wanted others battling addiction to encounter His same life-changing grace.
That vision became reality in 2005. For ten years, I had the privilege of leading that ministry before stepping aside to let others carry the torch.
The other day, I found myself reflecting on how many people from our recovery church have become leaders in the recovery movement. Six names came to mind immediately. Then I started thinking—if each of those six raised up six more leaders, imagine the exponential impact.
That’s how God works when you let Him.
