Reflection
I once thought that perseverance meant doing more, hustling harder, and grinding nonstop. This mindset led to my crash and burn in my late twenties.
Sometimes, when life’s stressors are overwhelming, the bravest thing you can do is pause.
Pausing doesn’t mean giving up—it means refusing to rush ahead of God’s timing. He renews our strength not in motion but in our pause.
When my mind is racing today, I need to pause and take in His spirit by opening mine to the beauty surrounding me. He lives in that beauty. This usually means going for a walk or a run in nature.
Questions
Are you trying to force something forward in your own strength?
What would it look like to wait on God instead?
Where do you feel His spirit the most?
Thought for the Day:
When feeling overwhelmed by life’s chaos, pause, go for a walk, pray, and listen.
Isaiah 40:31, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”
