Form

A belief in God helps provide a foundation to arbitrate our decisions. Without this foundation, we are condemned to live essentially formless lives.

— Armstrong Williams —

without this foundation (of faith), we are condemned to live essentially formless lives…Wow!

When I’m living a life of faith, my perspective turns the spotlight off of me and onto Him.  Through personal experience, I know my life has more form and meaning when my decisions are made from God’s perspective instead of my own.

The following is a short prayer from the book of Psalms that is worth reading daily to help you stay grounded:

Psalms 119:33-37

Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees; then I will keep them to the end.

Give me understanding, and I will keep your law and obey it with all my heart.

Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I will find delight.

Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

Do you lead your life from a perspective of faith in God or faith in self?

Are your eyes on worthless things and selfish gain, or are they on God and giving yourself on His behalf?

Living a life of true faith is not easy…seek progress over perfection and your life will take form.
