Reflection
I work hard to keep my promises—to others and to myself. That wasn’t always true during my years of addiction.
As I’ve matured (and yes, gotten older 🙂), I feel the pull to “cheat” a workout—to skip a day or give less than planned…more than I used to, because, after all, “I’m old(er) and paid my dues and can do what I want.” 🙂
But most days, I finish what I start.
Mental toughness isn’t built only by honoring commitments to others, but by keeping them with ourselves.
Starting is exciting.
Finishing is revealing.
Strong minds complete what they commit to, even when the emotion fades.

What unfinished commitment needs my attention?
