Clarity and Faithfulness

Emotions change like the weather. Faithfulness builds like the seasons.

Reflection

I’ve had a rough week—two long days in the classroom using my voice while fighting a head and chest cold and a spontaneous, crazy cough. It became an exercise in choosing how I wanted to show up and in sticking to that vision, rather than letting my feelings decide for me.

Feelings are unreliable leaders. Some days, motivation is strong; other days, it disappears.

Discipline bridges that gap as high-level living is built on faithfulness, not mood.

I spend a lot of time admiring and studying top performers across various fields, and I’ve noticed that they don’t follow their feelings; they follow their commitments. They train consistently, trusting that faithfulness over time is what produces results.

Today, show up anyway.

Do what you committed to do.

Faithfulness sharpens clarity by keeping you moving forward even when emotions fluctuate.

BTW… this post is me sharing my own self-talk from this past week. 🙂

Soul Search

Where am I letting my emotions and feelings take the lead over my faithfulness to my commitments and to who I am and what I stand for?

Revelation 2:10, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.”
