“When what we want to do and what we ought to do are two different things, character is strengthened or weakened in the choice we make.” ~Bill Bennett
Do we give or do we take?
Do we love or do we hate?
Do we hold on or do we let go?
Do we do medicate pain or do we go through it?
Do we get up early or do we sleep in?
Do we go to bed on time or do we stay up?
Do we drink alcohol or do we drink water?
Do we eat cake or do we eat almonds?
Do we gamble with or money or give it to someone who really needs it?
I could go on and on and on and on…
The best lives are built by doing what we ought to do and not doing what we want to do.
Living a life of ought to’s instead of want to’s is a life worth living.

Hebrews 12:11, “No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.” (NIV)
