“Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” ~Abraham Lincoln
Yesterday morning as I viewed the winter wonderland that blankets the entire area within view of my eye, I noticed several deer walking around on our pond and a couple of them walked into our backyard looking for food. I couldn’t help but notice our bird feeders which took on the busyness of a hot summer day at Dairy Queen. There were five cardinals as “cardinaled†as they could be. And, of course, there was a squirrel hanging upside down on one of the feeders enjoying a gluttonous meal of oiled sunflower seeds.
Without the continuous onslaught of this never-ending winter of 2014, I would never have had the beautiful pictures from yesterday that will be stored in my mind for a lifetime. These pictures made me happy.
Happiness is certainly a choice…no matter the weather.
