Years ago when I was trying to learn how to stay sober a day at a time I was told I needed to believe and trust in a power greater than myself if I was going to stay sober. I had no problem with believing because I always believed there had to be a God. The challenge came when I had to begin trusting this higher power. Trusting in a higher power requires the willingness to give our worries to Him and then allowing Him to give us direction and following that direction in our lives.
For a long time I would turn my worries over to God and then five minutes later I would take them back.
Today I know; “if I pray why worry and if I worry why pray?”
How is your faith these days?
Do you let God keep your problems or do you continuously take them back?
