Know When to say ‘No’

You have to decide what your highest priorities are and have the courage - pleasantly, smilingly, nonapologetically - to say 'no' to other things. And the way to do that is by having a bigger 'yes' burning inside. The enemy of the 'best' is often the 'good.

— Stephen Covey —

Having clarity about your God-Purpose with priorities properly laid out allows you to spend more time creating ‘best’ instead of ‘good’ in your life.

Do you have a God-Purpose?

Do you know what your priorities are?

Do you know what your guiding principles are?

Do you know what you are really passionate about?

Do you know what your strengths and gifts are?

Being able to answer ‘Yes’ to all of the questions above will better enable you to know when to say ‘No’.

Life doesn’t make things complicated; nor do the outside forces of other people, places and things.  It is an individual’s unwillingness to have the discipline to define his or her purpose and create a plan hinged upon that purpose that creates a complicated life.

Habakkuk 2:2, “And the Lord answered me: “Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it.”
