“Never think that God’s delays are God’s denials. Hold on; hold fast; hold out. Patience is genius.” ~Georges-Louis Leclerc
Have you ever “made” something happen and wish you didn’t? You know what I mean; you decided to cheat “a little,” maybe cut a few corners, or maybe “muscle” your way through a situation all your mentors along with God was saying NO to?
Some of the greatest blessings in my life came after God prevented me from having what I wanted.
God always knows what we need and what is best for us and he gave us free will not to abuse but to use effectively when facing a major life decision. Effective use of free will includes prayer and time to listen for the answers as well as the effective use of wise counsel.
Bottom line is–the human will is very powerful and allows us to make most anything happen when we put our mind to it, but human will coupled with God’s will is exponentially more powerful and effective and requires less than half the effort compared to doing it alone…I write from experience.
Is God delaying something in your life? If so, what’s the rush? He is God and knows what is best for you; all you need to do is take a step back and let Him play God and you try your best to simply do the next right thing and amazing things will happen.
Remember…patience truly is genius and their is no greater genius than God.
