Reflection
That shift from frustration to gratitude happened in just a few minutes. And it reminded me how far I’ve come over the years. I attribute much of that growth to my faith and one important lesson I’ve learned: I always have a choice whether I keep the challenge in my hand and worry about it or pray and turn it over to God.
Anxious minds rehearse worry; grateful minds rehearse God’s goodness.
Gratitude turns uncertainty into an opportunity to trust God.
In reference to the opening quote, peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances. It’s found in a grateful heart, firmly fixed on God.
I always write from experience, and I’ll be honest: I needed this reminder today as much as anyone. Perhaps you did, too. π
Soul Search:
What anxious thought can you replace with thanksgiving today?
