Reflection
A couple of phrases I heard often in the rooms of AA:
Progress over perfection.
Recovery is a process; it is not an event.
Perfectionism can be another form of bondage.
We expect ourselves to never struggle, never stumble, never think the wrong thought.
Recovery teaches something healthier: progress, not perfection.
God isn’t finished with us.
Growth can be messy.
Some days we move forward; other days simply holding our ground is victory.
The question isn’t, “Did I do everything perfectly?” It’s, “Am I moving toward the person God created me to become?”
Grace gives us room to grow without giving us permission to quit…I’m always thankful for His grace.

Where do I need to celebrate progress rather than demand perfection?
