The Lie
“I am worthless and have nothing meaningful to offer.”
The enemy tries its best to make that lie a reality for those of us who’ve been in the throes of addiction and, quite frankly, anyone who is down on themselves.
REFLECTION
Worth is one of the most contested battlegrounds of the soul.
The world assigns worth based on beauty, talent, wealth, and influence. Social media has done nothing but add fuel to this false meaning of worth.
If we are vulnerable enough to get sucked into comparing ourselves to the people living their lives through social media, the enemy tries to swoop in with his verdict: you are not good enough.
Fact
Your contributions to this world are not measured by platform or fame. A kind word, a faithful prayer, a hand extended in love…these are worthy and world-changing acts in God’s economy.
SOUL SEARCH
List three things you offer the world that have nothing to do with achievement. Ask God to open your eyes to the unique gifts He’s placed in you.
