Reflection
One of the most underrated forms of intentional action is the graceful, unapologetic no.
We live in a culture that rewards over-commitment and treats availability as a virtue.
But an open schedule is not the same as an available soul.
When we say yes to everything, we say yes to nothing fully.
The urgent crowds out the meaningful.
The loud drowns out the still, small voice.
And we arrive at the end of another year, having been very busy and not quite sure what for.
Saying no is not selfish. It is an act of integrity; it means your yes actually means something.
It means the people and pursuits you say yes to get the best of you, not the leftover scraps.
Note to self. 😊

- What commitments am I holding onto that no longer serve my purpose?
- What is one yes that would require a courageous no?
“All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.” Matthew 5:37 (NIV)
