Finish With Joy

Joy is not the absence of suffering. It is the presence of God.

— Robert Schuller —

Reflection

I hope this month of joy and laughter has been as meaningful for you as it has to me.

It’s been a great reminder not to take ourselves or the world around us, too seriously, especially when we have faith in a Power greater than ourselves.

Facts

Social media has changed us.

We see more, hear more, and are tempted more — to compare, to judge, to measure ourselves against everyone else.

Ponder…

What if we chose differently?

What if we simply searched for joy in everything we do?

It’s easy to chase accomplishment and measure life by what we achieve.

It’s even easier to sit back and compare ourselves to others.

But is that really living?

IMO…we are living when we exude an energy of joy that positively infiltrates the spirit of others.

A life well-lived isn’t just productive…it’s joyful. And that kind of life leaves a lasting mark…a life I’m trying my best to live, day by day.
