Reflection
I am a man of faith. That doesn’t mean I’m perfect…and it certainly doesn’t mean I’m religious.
I simply die to self every morning and try my best to live His will for me.
When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I never looked back. That’s not to say I haven’t taken steps backward along the way, but at the end of the day, I rely on the Lord for guidance in everything I do.
That truth weighs on me as I think about a local family of tremendous faith now facing the unimaginable — the trial of the person convicted of taking their daughter’s life. No human being is built to carry that alone.
Faith isn’t just belief; it’s release. It’s trusting God enough to hand over what’s weighing you down. When we carry everything ourselves, life grows heavy.
But when we surrender, something shifts.
The burden lifts, and joy has room to return.
