Reflection
Over fifty years ago, I wrecked a car with six people in it. That’s not something I can laugh about easily — it was a critical mistake, and I’ve thanked God many times for sparing every one of us.
My opening quote is not referring to that type of mistake.
The mistakes I’m referring to are the ones everyone has forgotten except us.
Mistakes have a way of sticking with us longer than they should.
We replay them, overanalyze them, and carry them forward. But growth doesn’t happen without them.
When we learn to laugh at our missteps, we take away their power. We shift from shame to progress.
God doesn’t waste our mistakes—He uses them.
That’s the truth from a lifelong mistake maker. 🙂
