Reflection
Two months ago, a local family lost a loved one to a senseless act of violence. The trial begins in two weeks. I’m close to the victim’s aunt and uncle and have been praying for their strength and peace. They are two of the nicest, God-fearing, fun-loving people you will ever meet.
But unfortunately, life brings storms—some we see coming, others we don’t.
Faith doesn’t remove them, but it changes how we walk through them.
Choosing joy in the middle of pain is not denial; it’s defiance.
It’s a declaration that the storm doesn’t get the final word.
God is still present.
Hope is still alive.
Joy can still rise…not because everything is okay, but because He is still in control.
This is all easy for me to say. 🙁
Please join me in praying for this family now and over the next several weeks.

Where in your life right now do you need to choose joy—even if it feels difficult?
James 1:2 – “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds.”
