Reflection
Rationalizing is fear in disguise.
It avoids truth by twisting it.
I know it well—I used to live it. Nothing was my fault. I searched for sympathy, not solutions, and surrounded myself with people who agreed with my excuses.
Rationalizers play the victim and resist the truth. When confronted, they deflect, defend, or turn on others.
At the end of my addiction, I was consumed by rational lies—heading straight toward destruction.
Thank God for a wife who refused to believe them.
Today, I know this: God calls me to truth, not excuses…to be a victor, not a victim.

Where are you replacing truth with rational lies?
John 8:32 (NIV): “Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
