Reflection
Many years ago, I was sitting in a Bible study when our pastor said, “We own nothing. Everything belongs to God, including your home and every other possession.”
That statement changed me.
It turned my clenched fists into open hands and awakened a deeper willingness to give more than I thought was enough. After all, if everything I have belongs to God, then I am not an owner, I am a steward.
Christians are called to tithe, and I wholeheartedly believe in that. But I also believe God delights in the person who is willing to sacrifice; to give beyond comfort, beyond convenience, and even beyond what seems reasonable.
Sacrifice reveals what we value.
Fear says giving more will leave us empty.
Faith says giving more will leave us full.
BTW…giving is not just about money. It also includes our time and talents.

Where have you been holding back your time, talent, or treasure out of fear, and what might God do if you placed it fully in His hands?
Proverbs 11:24-25, “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”
