Reflection
I’ve learned countless lessons from sports. When I began training for triathlons over twenty years ago, I couldn’t swim more than a few strokes without tiring. Staying afloat was the best I could do. But with study, coaching, and consistent practice, I eventually built the endurance to swim two miles without hesitation. That transformation didn’t happen overnight—it came one stroke at a time.
Strength rarely arrives in giant leaps. More often, it’s forged through small, faithful steps…
- Prayers whispered in quiet moments.
- Kindness extended when no one notices
- Disciplines practiced when no one applauds.
God delights in those ordinary acts of faithfulness that, over time, build extraordinary strength…
Courage is found in simply showing up, day after day, even when progress feels invisible…I always write from experience.
Soul Search
When is the last time I whispered prayers in quiet moments, extended kindness when no one noticed, or practiced a discipline that only I applauded?
“Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” —Zechariah 4:10
