Recovery Month – Day 23 – Step By Step

A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

— Lao Tzu —

Reflection:

Recovery is not an instant transformation but a steady, intentional progress. Each small step matters, even when it feels insignificant in the moment.

The same truth applies to any meaningful change we pursue in life. Big goals are rarely accomplished all at once—they’re reached one step, one choice, one day at a time.

Change is built on thousands of small steps, but none are more important than the first two: step one–START, and step two– CONTINUE.

Starting gets you moving, but continuing builds the momentum that transforms your life.

The power of progress isn’t found in giant leaps, but in the courage to take that next step, no matter how small it may seem. Consistency turns hope into habit, and habit into lasting change.

Soul Search:

What is the next right step I can take today?

Scripture: Hebrews 12:1 – “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”
