Lent Mindset Day 45 – Good Friday – The Doorway to Everything New

Jesus didn’t tap out—He finished the mission.

Reflection

Good Friday is a paradox—how can something so brutal be called good?

Because it wasn’t just a death; it was a victory.

I had my own “Good Friday” moment on August 9, 1987—the day I checked myself into treatment. With a nudge from Lori and a shattered spirit, I surrendered to what felt like defeat. I didn’t know that admission would become the beginning of freedom.

On the cross, Jesus bore the full weight of our sins. His words, “It is finished” (John 19:30), weren’t a surrender—they were a declaration of victory.

Grace, redemption, and access to God were secured forever.

To His followers, that day looked like the end. But what looked like loss was actually a setup for resurrection.

I can most certainly relate…Thank you, Lord Jesus!

Thought for the Day:
God often works through what we don’t understand. Don’t quit in the dark. The cross wasn’t the end—it was the doorway to everything new.

John 19:30, “It is finished.”… and the best is yet to come!
