Reflection
For years, I’ve wrestled with stinking thinking—those toxic thoughts that creep in like uninvited guests. I realized long ago that my mind is like a bad neighborhood—I should never go there alone.
Nearly 30 years ago, a mentor gave me life-changing advice: Find a life verse—something unshakable to hold onto when storms roll in and thoughts turn sour. That’s when Isaiah 40:31 found me. Maybe it was divine direction, or perhaps the mention of eagles drew me in. (I’m captivated by eagles, if you haven’t figured that out yet.)
Either way, this verse became my anchor, my reset button, my reminder that no matter how heavy life gets, God’s strength lifts me higher.
“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
Life’s a rollercoaster, but one truth keeps me steady: my strength—especially my mental strength—comes from God. His promises aren’t just encouragement—they’re survival.

Beautifully written! It touched me personally in so many ways today. In my morning prayer, feeling in a slump, I prayed for strength and guidance.
Catching up on email I opened this a day late. But truly meant for me today. A God wink….thank you for posting.
