Reflection
If I heard the opening quote once, I heard it hundreds of times in early recovery at Twelve Step meetings.
Most of us enter recovery under a cloud of uncertainty. Living in that fog isn’t healthy, and I had to learn to surrender my worries and anxieties to Him—early, often, and daily.
Over time, this practice became a habit, now ingrained in my spirit.
Worry is a thief, robbing us of peace, time, and energy.
It keeps our minds tangled in “what-ifs” instead of trusting the One who holds our future.
In Matthew 6:27, Jesus reminds us, “Can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”
Worry changes nothing but drains everything.
Faith calls us to release our burdens, knowing that God’s plan is greater than our fears.
Instead of dwelling on uncertainties, we should pray, take action where we can, and trust.
A mind freed from worry is available for purpose, joy, and growth.
1 Peter 5:7 – “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
Thought for the day: Worry drains your mind and skews your mindset. Worry does not change the outcome of anything other than paralyzing your life.
