Lent Mindset – Day 11 – Mindful Mission

A life mission statement is the compass that guides us through the noise, helping us stay true to our purpose while navigating life with clarity.

Reflection

Most Wednesdays are coaching days for me, and sometimes I walk away feeling like I’ve received more than I’ve given. That was the case this past Wednesday after meeting with two passionate leaders. Their focus wasn’t on themselves but on those they serve. Their work is deeply missional, making a real difference in the world.

As you know, my 2025 Lenten writings are focused on keys to a healthy, productive mindset. One powerful key is knowing and living your life mission.

Years ago, I crafted my mission statement: “Inspiring others to dream more, be more, and live in the light more.” This mission isn’t just words, it’s a guidepost. For the most part, when people, circumstances, or distractions try to steal my peace, my mission statement redirects my thoughts and grounds me in my purpose.

A God-breathed mission statement brings clarity and peace, filtering out distractions like fear, doubt, and regret.

When negativity knocks, your mission gives you direction.

When confusion rises, it offers focus…I always write from experience.

Seek God for your mission, write it down, and live by it. Let it shape your thoughts, actions, and choices. A life rooted in His purpose replaces chaos with peace.

Thought for the day…Your mission is your anchor, keeping your mind clear and your spirit strong. It reminds you who you are, why you’re here, and what truly matters. Instead of reacting to life’s chaos, you move with divine intention.

Mark 10:45 – “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
