The opening quote came to me as I thought about how much easier it is for me to recognize fear for what it is when it creates a negative mindset–A LIAR.
Handling fear is like building a muscle. The more we exercise our faith and confront it, the easier it becomes to identify and remove it from our mindset.
I learned how to do this many years ago when there were so many unknowns when I was early in my recovery journey.
Fear distorts our mindset by magnifying doubts and minimizing possibilities. It traps us in worst-case scenarios, making obstacles seem more significant than they are.
Fear tries to hijack our focus by shifting our energy from solutions to survival.
If left unattended, fear rewires our brains to expect failure rather than faith.
Its grip weakens when we challenge fear with truth (God), courage, and action.
A fearless mindset isn’t about never feeling afraid—it’s about refusing to let fear dictate our direction.
Courage is fear that’s been prayed for.
Thought for the day…Fear can paralyze our thoughts. When you feel your mind overwhelmed with fear, ask God to help you identify what is holding you back (name it), call it what it is—a lie (claim it), turn it over to Him (dump it), and DON’T take it back.
Faith and fear cannot coexist…you are either full of faith or fear…I write from experience.
2 Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
