Reflection
One of the most significant gifts recovery gave me was the ability to handle my anxiety and depression by learning how to live in the moment one day at a time.
Living in the past or the future does nothing but blur the moment.
The past is over. All it should do is remind us of where we’ve come from and how much we’ve grown.
The future hasn’t happened. All it should do for us (if we have dreams and aspirations) is incentivize us to make the most of today.
I always write from experience.
Proverbs 16:3, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and our plans will succeed.”
Matthew 11:28, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
