Lent Day 22 – Peace and the Power Of Christ

The power of Christ in you is greater than the troubles around you.

— Craig Groeschel —

Reflection

None of us are exempt from having troubles.

Our family and extended family were hit with some challenges in the last couple of weeks.

Upon notification of the challenges, and after working through the initial shock, I resorted to prayer to get me and those afflicted through, and just as Craig Groeschel noted in the opening quote, “The power of Christ in me became greater than the troubles around me.”

Question

Who and what do you go to when troubled?

Psalm 16:11, “You make known to me the path of life; in your presence, there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Journal your thoughts:

What am I grateful for today?

In what way(s) will I bring light to the world today?

What will I deny myself to draw closer to God and gain more peace in my life today?

Prayer:

God, I offer myself to Thee—To build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! Amen.
