Have you ever taken the time to listen to your thoughts truly? It is estimated that human beings, on average, have over 60,000 thoughts a day.
I don’t know about you, but my mind is like a bad neighborhood; I shouldn’t go there alone. Thus, I begin my day quietly, connecting to God and asking for His protection and guidance, including my thoughts.
Be conscious of what you are thinking because leaving your thoughts unchecked will rob you of your peace…I write from experience.
Colossians 3:15, “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
Journal your thoughts:
What am I grateful for today?
In what way(s) will I bring light to the world today?
What will I deny myself to draw closer to God and gain more peace in my life today?
Prayer:
God, I offer myself to Thee—To build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always! Amen.
