Why do we have so many epic failures at achieving New Year’s resolutions?
I’m glad you asked.
- Our goals are too ambitious and plentiful.
- We don’t create space in our lives to achieve our goals.
A couple of tips in goal setting.
- Keep it simple. Less is more. What has been gnawing at you? You know what I mean. That one thing you keep saying to yourself, “I need to do this.”
- Once you’ve determined what it is, WRITE IT DOWN in a place where you will see it early and often daily.
- Â Note what you must stop doing to create space for this new goal, AND stop doing whatever it is.
- Â Pray about your new goal at least daily.
More nuggets of strategic wisdom will be arriving in tomorrow’s blog.
Proverbs 16:3, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”
Proverbs 16:9, ” The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”Â
2 Corinthians 1:12, “For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.”
