Whipping the devil – Day 11 – Excuses

“He that is good for making excuses is seldom good for anything else.” ~Benjamin Franklin

Our fear of or unwillingness to face reality is often the reason behind excuses.  Our character is built upon our ability to handle reality.  The devil despises character and does not want us to face reality and therefore likes to fill our minds with excuses for all of our problems.

On the other hand God wants us to grow in character by facing reality and therefore puts the answer to our problems in the middle of our problems.  When we stay in reality and face our problems head-on, there usually the answer lies.

Make sense?  I write from experience…

So here is the deal; when faced with a problem thank God because in it is a solution and an opportunity to grow in character and whip the devil for another day.

Ultimately God holds all the answers so once again pray for them, picture them, plan for them, practice them and…thank Him in all circumstances.
