Still Sappy and Green

You can be sappy and green no matter what the age.

— JMeyer —

According to Google, I’ve been sucking air from the world through the form of breathing for 22,646 days…this is my 62nd birthday.

Age has never been something I concern myself with.

The beauty of aging is you accumulate an abundance of wisdom over the years…there’s no better wisdom than realizing that the older you get, the less you know.

With that being said, I thought I would share with my loyal readers a nugget of wisdom that I believe has allowed me to remain sappy and green as I slowly run out of days and breaths on this earth.

It’s not rocket science.

I try my best to love, laugh, learn, lead, and live a little bit better as each day passes.

I usually inventory the 5 L’s before going to sleep at night:

  • Love–Did I contribute more to the world and others than I consumed?
  • Laugh–Did my laughs outnumber my moments of discouragement?
  • Learn–Did I learn something new that made me a better person?
  • Lead-Did I stretch myself/someone beyond my/their comfort zone? (One of the reasons for my EagleLaunch blog).
  • Live-If I did all the above, it means I lived a pretty good day.
  • Good days keep my stress levels low, and my sap and green levels high…see the Psalm below. 🙂

Stay Sappy

Stay Green
