Reflection
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been writing a lot about thoughts and perspectives.
As I’ve mentioned many times—my writings are as much for me to absorb and apply to my life as they are for you.
I’ve always struggled with my thinking.
I can’t say I’m an over-thinker but I can say that I am a very active thinker and sometimes my active mind leads me to some major “stinking thinking.”
Epiphany
When I saw the opening quote, I said to myself, “BINGO!”
Our life does follow our strongest thoughts and often times our strongest thoughts are not so kind nor are they always fruitful.
Solution
Since I’m spending way too much time with my thoughts these days I’ve decided I am going to pray every time I think a negative thought for the next two days and assess what it does to my disposition.
Join Me
I encourage any of you battling the same mental challenges to join me this weekend as I enter into “Monk Mode.”
Psalm 62:5, “For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.”
