Yesterday morning I wrote the following in my journal:
If your mind is consumed with thoughts of the past and future, you won’t be worth a damn in the present.
Back to the opening quote.
The enemy is a hope thief.
One angle the enemy uses to steal our hope is to get us to dwell on things that don’t matter–like the “only ifs” from the past and the “what ifs” of the future.
God is a hope dealer.
He holds dominion over all of our “ifs.”
Focus on being present in His presence as frequently as you are able.
Hope is found in His presence.
I always write from experience.
Psalm 27:4, “One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.”
