I’ve been blessed to interact quite often with two “masters of patience” for the majority of my life.
I’ve written a few times about my wife and her patience level, which is much needed when caring for our special child, Jordan.
Another “master of patience” the Good Lord placed in my life, is my one and only boss turned business partner, turned employee of mine, and always a good friend, Tom.
When I was younger I was very impatient. In fact, when I first began working for Tom, his patience drove me crazy and he knew it.
He would often say to me: “Slow and steady wins the race,” and “Good things come to those who wait.”
For driven people like me, patience is often viewed as a four-letter word, but I’ve found if you want to succeed at anything, patience is a key virtue you must develop.
On a much more serious note, please keep my buddy Tom in your prayers as he is undergoing surgery this morning– the 18th surgery of his life of which the majority have taken place the last few years.
Romans 12:12, “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
