Gratversity

Gratitude is an art of painting an adversity into a lovely picture.

— Kak Sri —

Even the most horrific circumstance(s) are able to be turned into something good if we maintain our faith in God.

When our son Jordan was born, I fell off the deep end as I could not understand why God had allowed him to go through so much suffering at birth.

When God didn’t answer my prayers of healing for Jordan in a way that was acceptable to me, I got pissed off at God and turned my back on Him.

My drug addiction went to a level that almost killed me.

I’m so thankful to have survived that dark period in my life because…

  1. God really did heal Jordan, once I accepted God’s definition of healing and mine were different.
  2. Jordan has made me a much better person and I am very grateful for God blessing our family with a ‘special person.’
  3. Through Jordan’s experience, God healed me.
  4. Through my healing, I’ve been able to help God heal many others from addiction.

Adversity + Gratitude = Gratversity
