Omnipresent

When you enter His presence with praise, He enters your circumstances with power.

Last week I had a free day and decided to spend it on one of the many beautiful bike trails the state of Ohio has created for biking enthusiasts like myself.

I enjoy riding this time of year because the weather is comfortable and the colors of fall surround me throughout my ride.

While riding I usually listen to a good book on my iPhone, have an ongoing conversation with God, and take any phone calls which come in. There are strengths associated with having attention deficit disorder. 🙂

On this particular ride I was especially blessed because my oldest and youngest called me in order to catch up. Each of the calls were very uplifting as they were sharing some cool things that are going on in their professional lives.

It’s really pleasing to hear my kids make the most of their God-given talents. At the end of each of my conversations with them I said, “Make sure you thank God for your blessings.”

So many times we have a tendency to forget to include God in on our victories. We treat Him like the Red Cross. We only call upon Him when we are in a crisis.

The cool thing about God is we don’t need our iPhone and ear buds to talk with him and catch up. We can converse with Him throughout the day seeking His help with our challenges and thanking Him for our blessings. He is omnipresent.

Do you take advantage of His omnipresence?

Psalm 139:7-10

7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
    Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
    if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
    if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
    your right hand will hold me fast.
