My mind is always “on.” Â I cannot afford to just sit around and do nothing because when I do, my mind often tries to take me to anxiety-laced places I don’t want to go.
Even when I wake up in the middle of the night I am thinking. Â Sometimes the thoughts are good and sometimes they are not so good. Â My not so good thoughts are usually born out of some type of fear and end up causing anxiety. Â Instead of ruminating on the bad thoughts I take action and begin praying. Â Prayer always works.
I have found there is no better remedy to anxiety than purposeful action and often-times there is no better purposeful action you can take than prayer.

Philippians 4:6, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition. with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Â And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Â (NIV)
