WHEEL OF LIFE – FOCUS AREAS
We may have the greatest intentions in the world when it comes to living our purpose and chasing our dreams.
But our ability of turning our intentions into worthwhile results is greatly reduced if we are not taking care of our WHEEL OF LIFE FOCUS AREAS: Spiritual, Mental, Physical, Relational, Financial.
…we are currently taking a look at the Spiritual section of our Wheel of Life Focus Areas.
Yesterday I referred to my spiritual growth mantra: Trust God, Clean House and Help Others. Today we continue with what it means to trust God.
For me, trusting God means spending quality time with Him first thing in the morning, every morning. Quality time for me is reading God’s word (God speaking to me), prayer (me speaking to God), and reflection/journaling (me listening to God). In essence I start every day by surrendering and saying, “I can’t, God can, I think I’ll let Him.”
I try my best to entrust all of me to Him.
My trust doesn’t end there. I stay in conscious contact with God throughout the day, and whenever I feel stressed instead of blessed, I pause and hand the controls of my life back to God.
I close my day with a prayer of thanks.
Nurturing and expanding my spirit by trusting God throughout the day, does not guarantee that everything is going to go as planned, but it does guarantee everything is going to be OK.
What do you do in order to expand your spiritual life? What do you do that represents the trust you have in God?
