Mission & Commitment

Our ability to follow through on our commitments is directly proportionate to the strength of our character.

imageThis is day forty-six of our journey in creating a playing field for our life.

I started with having you identify your Purpose and continued with having you create Guiding Principles, naming your Strengths and Gifts, listing your Priorities, finding your Passions and creating a Vision Statement for what you aspire to be.

The final piece of creating your playing field is to create a Mission Statement.  Your Mission Statement declares what you commit to doing in order to achieve your Vision.

I’ve worked with hundreds of businesses and individuals over the years and most of them come to me with a dream/vision in their head.  Some of them have even put it in writing but very few of them had given any thought about what they needed to do in order to achieve their dream.

Casting a vision and creating a Vision Statement for your life is very powerful but you will never realize it unless you’ve committed to executing your Mission Statement on a daily basis.

My Vision Statement which is–I will be recognized as a leader in helping people turn their dreams into reality, isn’t worth the paper it is written on if I am not committed to fulfilling this vision through my Mission:  I will provide fresh, sound, common-sense, God-approved, life-tested solutions to those I serve.

My Mission Statement declares what I need to do in order to be (my Vision).

My Mission Statement drives me to continuously grow in my knowledge of what it takes to provide up to date, sound, common sense, God-approved, life tested solutions, to those I serve.

In essence your Mission Statement is your commitment statement.

What are you committed to doing in order to achieve your vision?  Take a stab at writing it down.
