Prison Hole

To live continually in thoughts of ill will , cynicism, suspicion, and envy is to be confined in a self-made prison hole.

β€” James Allen, "As a Man Thinketh" β€”

Reflection

I’ve always struggled with those who are suspicious of everything and view the world through a cynical lens.

Cynicism hardens the heart.

Suspicion isolates us.

Envy steals joy.

Can you feel the energy drain?

God never designed the mind to be a prison; He designed it to be a place of renewal and hope.

Freedom begins when we take responsibility for what we allow to dwell within us.

Replacing corrosive thoughts with truth opens the door to peace, clarity, and forward movement.

Which recurring thought patterns are limiting my freedom and joy?

James 3:16, β€œFor where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.”
